Looking at Patrick Then, you wouldn’t believe that he is already 87 years old and suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). This often leaves him breathless and fatigued, making daily life a challenge in every imaginable sense.

But things took a turn for the better when he joined Dover Park Hospice’s Day Care programme in June 2024. As a former English, Mathematics and Geography teacher for more than 35 years, Patrick used his voice to impart knowledge and values to his students.

Such magical moments are only possible with the generous support from donors like you. Your donations ensure that patients like Patrick do not have to worry about their out-of-pocket medical expenses, enabling them to live out life’s final chapter with dignity, peace-of-mind and joy, or magic in Patrick’s case!

As a secular charity with IPC status, Dover Park Hospice has supported over 12,000 patients since 1992. Over 70% of our patients come from households with a per capita income below $1,200, making your donations essential to ensure every patient receives specialised palliative care.
